Hourly Lessons
These lessons are designed to help further the student's understanding of music production. We will work together to advance the individual skills of the beginner or intermediate studio music composer. Lessons are held at the Gemstar Pro studio.
Music Lessons - $50 p/hr
Beat Making Basics - 5 week course
Coming in Fall 2009
Beat Making Basics uses a hands-on approach to take a student with a musical interest to a music producer with the fundamentals it takes to create beats. Students will learn to build beats, analyze songs, and enhance their creativity. This class also introduces students to FL Studio, widely regarded as the most user-friendly software for beat makers. Beginners are welcome!
5 classes, 90 min each, $250 total
Intermediate Beat Making - 5 week course
Coming in Fall 2009
Intermediate Beat Making is designed to take a student with production fundamentals to an intermediate with the skills to craft detailed instrumental tracks ready for vocals. Students will learn song structure, use of samples, MIDI, and more. Pre-requisite: Beat Making Basics or a solid foundation using FL Studio.
