1) The Video Shoot

A successful video shoot requires proper planning, direction, lighting, camera crew, models and actors. Video shoots generally set the tone for an entire project.

2) Log and Capture

After the video shoot, the video must be converted to digital data and scenes are given a name to be edited later. Logging and capturing generally takes twice as long as the amount of video to be used. For example if you shot 1 hour of video, logging and capturing should take about 2 hours.

3) Editing

Editing is essential to a quality video. An experienced editor has the ability to piece together the best parts of a video shoot to create a captivating sequence. Some special editing could include split screen, cross fades, and editing points to rhythm of music.

4) Color Correction and Effects

Color correction gives a uniform look to the entire video. This is crucial especially if the lighting and/or camera were not professional grade. There are literally thousands of options for special effects including trails, b&w, sepia, and green screen chroma keys to name a few.

5) Final Touches and DVD creation

Final touches can include text, added graphics, and effects to the entire project. Once the project is complete it will be burned as a DVD and given to you as a quicktime file to be posted on sites such as You Tube.
